Like a normal human, I decided that it would be a good thing to clean today. I’m sweeping the floor just minding my own business. As I walk in to sweep the bathroom floor, something captures my eye. A freaking lizard was cruising around my house. I know… I know… at least it wasn’t a mouse.
I am used to almost stepping on these little critters outside. In the four years we have been in this house there has never been one inside (except for the one Kaiden snuck in here to play with and secretly keep as a pet).
Of course I panic a little bit. I trapped it with my broom and dust pan and waited for it to be scared enough to sit still. I am not touching that thing. They bite and I don’t want to catch anything crazy like diphtheria or bird flu. Luckily, my phone was close enough that I didn’t have to make a run for it. I called Robbie and told him to send Kaiden inside to retrieve the lizard. He loves to catch them, so it just makes sense to allow him to save the day.
He came striding in and I show him where it is. As he is picking it up he says, “Oh, this little guy. He followed me in accidentally.”
