Kaiden woke up this morning and immediately started to cry. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what possible reason he would have to wake up crying. So I asked him what was wrong.
Through his tears he mumbles something about the tooth fairy and how his tooth was under his pillow and his pillow moved and now the Tooth Fairy couldn’t leave him money.
I ask, “Soooooo, you didn’t tell me you lost a tooth. Were you testing the Tooth Fairy? “
He responds, half yelling, “Are you trying to tell me the Tooth Fairy isn’t real?!”
Remembering how I ruined Christmas for him last year and how he still isn’t sure if he believes me, I simply say, “No, that isn’t what I’m saying. I just didn’t know you lost a tooth.”
NEVER A DULL MOMENT! In case you are wondering, he hasn’t mentioned it since and the Tooth Fairy still hasn’t given him money.
